Chevron Project Resources Company (PRC) is accepting online applications for the position of I&E (Instrumentation & Electronics) Engineer to work on the Nigerian Domestic Gas Supply Project. This position will be located in Houston, TX and will transition to the field for construction. The I&E Engineer is a key position on the Project Team reporting to the Engineering Manager. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:•Manage the engineering of Instrumentation and assist in the engineering of Electrical systems of the project during phases of the project. •Serve as a resource and lead for the design, and installation of complex and critical equipment and systems for SCADA and DCS, Shutdown Systems and Electronic instrumentation systems for CNL facilities. •Leads and delivers I&E Controls Systems support for projects in all CNL areas of Operation, Provide direction and supply information as needed for the various project teams. •Participate in Hazardous Operations Review (HAZOP), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's), equipment selection and testing, etc. for the MCP teams. •Liaise closely with the project teams for facility commissioning. •Guide engineering contractor through the design to meet Chevron and CNL specifications.Required Qualifications:•Bachelors Degree required in Electrical Engineering.•A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and execution of onshore and offshore Oil and gas pipelines is required.•Demonstrated knowledge of successful electrical and instrument engineering practices. Knowledge of CPDEP & CSOC (internal candidates only) and how to apply these processes to achieve Excellence.•Ability to work in & foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision.•A strong safety champion who will lead an office environment dedicated to a zero injuries while laying the contractual foundation for a successful IIF program in the field.•Previous experience working with a major Engineering Contractor demonstrating ability to coordinate multiple projects in a contractor's office.Relocation Options:•Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.If you are selected for the position, Chevron employment will be contingent upon submission to and successful completion of a physical, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-TX-Houston Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
