IT System Administrator I - Senior

Job Description:Provide technical support for AEP’s WEB technology infrastructure including system configuration and performance tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution for enterprise applications. Responsible for building, tuning and maintaining the company’s Web Servers. Ensure user accessibility to the sites. Duties will also include performance tuning, monitoring site traffic and helping to scale site capacity to meet traffic demands performanceResponsible for communicating, coordinating, collaborating and managing internal and external resources to resolve problems and to implement new infrastructures related to WEB technologies.Responsibilities: ·Vary based on department priorities and project assignments but include advanced problem resolution for enterprise wide or complex problems. ·Evaluating new applications in conjunction with other IT Infrastructure and Application teams. ·Developing project scope documentation, estimates, cost/benefit analysis, and project plans. ·Installing new servers/new applications on existing servers in support of AEP’s WEB technologies.·Documenting WEB technologies infrastructure.·Developing methods and processes for supporting WEB technologies.Job Experience:·8-10 years related IT experience with a minimum of 4-6 years in Web technologies.·Hands on administration and problem solving. ·Ability to differentiate between server hardware, operating system, messaging and application issues or problems. ·A strong understanding of Messaging and WEB technology concepts.·A strong understanding of WEB technology products, including MicroSoft IIS, .Net framework, Apache, Tomcat, and Weblogic, ·Working knowledge of server administration for Intel, and UNIX.·Working knowledge of scripting and SSL·A good understanding of networks, including load balancing.·Experience with monitoring, testing and optimizing system availability, scalability and performance·A good working knowledge and understanding of databases (Oracle, SQL & UDB) and Java Requirements:·Ability to work with others in a team environment. ·Ability to handle stress and work under pressure.·Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.·Available to provide 7x24 on-call support on a rotating schedule.·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience.Other Desired Skills:IT System Administrator I - SeniorApply Online[gj.005920932.2]
