Information Technology Business Applications Manager #0393

The IT Business Applications Manager reports to the Director of IT, Enterprise Systems.  This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Cal Water’s business applications and third-party systems. This position will supervise a group of twelve developers.  

 

 

Qualifications



 A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a closely related field with a minimum of ten years of experience in ERP and other business systemsMinimum of 4 years as an IT supervisor or project managerDemonstrate strong leadership and management skills to deliver and support applications to meet company’s business needsMust possess good business knowledge in Financials, Customer Service and HR areasUnderstand IT best practices; able to drive change and innovationExperience with IT controls and information security standardsStrong customer service aptitudeExcellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) are a mustAble to motivate, develop and mentor staff membersExperience with vendor management such as RFP and contract negotiation is a plusMBA,  PMP or other advanced degrees are a plus

 

Responsibilities

  Provide overall management for business systems, including strategic planning, project management and daily support activities.Maintain and enforce standardized application development and change management processes and procedures.Lead the team to provide excellent customer service to business users and other groups.Supervise, develop, review and evaluate staff.Design, implement, and enforce IT controls. Evaluate current/upcoming technology and make recommendations to improve business processes through technology.Direct large business application projects and daily support activities.Participate in Continuous Improvement.
