Inside Sales Representative - Comm/Data Market

The Opportunity:As an Inside Sales Rep, you will progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers via telephone or other electronic device(s) for the purpose of selling Graybar products.  You will promote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions to achieve maximum gross margin rate.  Responsibilities also include handling customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims; carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock; participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested; and perform other duties as assigned. The Requirements:Bachelor’s degree preferred along with a minimum of two to four years of industry specific experience in the Service Provider market including independent telephone, wireless, CLEC, ILEC, Cable TV, and OSP Plow contractors in the Northwest.  The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of comm/data products; be effective in promoting and selling Graybar products to customers; have the ability to learn our business and work independently to achieve goals; have good negotiation skills and the ability to sell and be persuasive.  A broad knowledge of business administration, sales and marketing; and a professional appearance and demeanor is a must.  A working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.) is required; a working knowledge of SAP is a plus.  Experience with computer order entry systems is desired.  Enthusiasm for working with customers is a must!  NOTE:  Final candidate is subject to a thorough background investigation (education, prior employment, criminal records, etc.) and drug screen.  Become an Employee-Owner: A comprehensive healthcare package including medical insurance, dental insurance, prescription drug coverage, and vision plan Paid time off An employee stock purchase plan Outstanding tuition reimbursement program A profit sharing and savings plan Flexible spending accounts Disability insurance As an employee-owner, you'll be proud to call Graybar YOUR company!
