Develops and conducts performance-based classroom, simulator and plant training using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process.  Reviews and participates in NRC administered Reactor Operator (RO) and Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) licensing examinations. Operates the simulator from the instructor’s console. Maintains knowledge of plant operations and instructional skills, as required, for the development and conduct of licensed and non-licensed operator related training.

 

Required Qualifications:

5 yrs of Nuclear power plant experience. Associate’s in Applied Science degree or other technical or scientific discipline or the equivalent experience of a RO/SRO license issued by the NRC or PAL site specific SRO certification. Must possess or have possessed a USNRC senior/reactor operator license or equivalent SRO certification. 

 

Desired Qualifications:

Technical or scientific discipline or the equivalent experience. Extensive training or operations of a nuclear facility will be considered when establishing equivalency. Must possess or have possessed a USNRC senior/reactor operator license or equivalent SRO certification.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with prior operational training experience. 

 

Strong Preference for Commercial PWR experience as RO/SRO with Training background.
