EOG Resources, Inc. is one of the largest independent (non-integrated) oil and natural gas companies in the United States with proved reserves in the United States, Canada, offshore Trinidad and the United Kingdom North Sea. At December 31, 2007, EOG’s estimated net proved natural gas reserves were 6,669 Bcf and estimated net proved crude oil, condensate and natural gas liquids reserves were 179 million barrels. Approximately 67 percent of EOG’s reserves on a natural gas equivalent basis were located in the United States, 17 percent in Canada, 16 percent in Trinidad and less than 1 percent in the United Kingdom North Sea. At year-end 2007, EOG had almost 1,800 employees.

 

Investor Relations Analyst

 

The Investor Relations Analyst (IR Analyst) reports to the VP, Investor Relations and is a key member in providing financial analysis, research, and communications support. The IR Analyst prepares presentations for analysts, employees, and other external audiences, responds to requests for information, and handles individual and retail shareholder calls and certain media inquiries. Other responsibilities include researching current issues and trends in IR, preparing and maintaining IR website content, assisting in the development, coordination and preparation of news and financial press releases, annual reports, fact sheets, and other investor and public relations materials, reports, and publications.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree (Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred); MBA is a plus

- Minimum 2 years of financial experience

- Investor relations experience strongly preferred

- Proficiency in MS Office applications

- Excellent communication and business writing skills for all forms of communication

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently, as well as the ability to interact effectively with individuals at various levels of the organization

- Sound judgment and solid analytical ability

- Organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines

 

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience. No relocation available.
