Jr. Server Administrator / Jr Network Administrator

Small Company in Plano TX, is growing and looking for Jr System Administrator/Network Administrator to join the team.  Must have 1 or 2 years experience.
 

Job Requirements:

 

·  Experience managing Microsoft infrastructure servers, including Exchange 2003, Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, Active Directories and File servers

·  Experience managing Network environments, including Ethernet Routers, Managed Switches, Microsoft ISA Firewall and DHCP servers.

·  Experience managing Tape backup schedules, tape libraries and tape rotations.

·  Experience with PC Support

·  MCSE Certification a Plus

·  Certified Network Administrator a Plus

Job Purpose:

Ensure maximum up-time throughout the company’s IT infrastructure.  Monitors system capacity utilizations and implements required strategies to maintain peak performance and availability of all IT Hardware systems.

Duties:

* Installation, support and regular maintenance service to Servers, Disk Arrays, Tape libraries, Network Equipment, PC, Laptops, Printers, Fax Machines, VOIP and Phone system.

* Setup, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks. 

* Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.

* Testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.

* Maintain Application Integration Systems, including Job Schedules, Encryption/Decryption of transfer data, FTP Services and EDI.

* Manages Active Directory, Domain Registrations, DNS, SSL Certificate Renewals

* Virus prevention and removal for Servers and PCs.

* Manage E-mail servers and in-bound Spam filters.

* Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
