Lab Technician - Oil & Gas

Kelly Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a Major Oil Company's research facilityOpenings are available in the laboratory for technicians to staff a wide variety of laboratories, including materials and corrosion, rock mechanics. Technicians will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing equipment, for applying electronic and hydraulic controls, and for helping design and install new lab equipment. Laboratories include specially designed, one-of-a-kind instrumentation that often contains combustible or corrosive fluids operating at high temperature and pressure. Successful candidates, therefore, must have knowledge of safe laboratory work practices and have advanced mechanical and analytical skills. In addition, candidates must have strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills and the flexibility during a career to work in a wide variety of engineering and geoscience laboratories. A Bachelors or Masters degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, geology, or biology is preferred, but candidates with an Associates degree or other relevant technical training will also be considered.This is a long-term contract position.
