Labor Relations Administrator

Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, an investor-owned utility, is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Human Resources Team at our Poughkeepsie, NY headquarters.

Duties Include: Qualified candidates will be responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of labor relations policies, programs and initiatives; Work with supervisory organization to ensure consistent labor agreement administration; Represent the Company at various government agency hearings; Represent the Company at grievance hearings and arbitration proceedings; Provide labor relations training to the supervisory organization; Work with the management team in the contract negotiations process; Routinely work with union leadership to negotiate mid term agreements; Conduct studies, analyses, or investigations of a complex and confidential nature that require a thorough knowledge of labor relations practice and law; Ensure that employee records are accurately maintained. Handle employee inquires and/or concerns as they relate to the labor agreement(s).

Qualifications Include: Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Labor Relations is required (Master’s degree preferred). Requires excellent written, verbal and personal communication skills. Must have strong analytical and organizational skills as well as an intimate knowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining trends. A valid driver’s license is required.
