Landfill Supervisor II

I.Job Summary Supervise and conduct operation and maintenance activities at all assigned closed landfills. II.Supervisory Responsibilities The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of non-supervisory employees.? This includes: Direct supervision of 0 full-time employees. Direct supervision of 2-5 third party contractors and consultants. III. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A.Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or G.E.D., and four to six years of previous experience in hands-on landfill site systems operation and maintenance, to include landfill gas systems, leachate systems, treatment systems, groundwater systems, pumps, controls and general electrical systems. Preferred: Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience, and four to six years previous experience. B.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements OSHA 1910.120 Hazwoper training and First aid C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Equipment operating, health, safety and environmental regulations knowledge, and supervisory experience would be required.
