Lead Analyst
EXELON CORPORATION is currently seeking a Lead Analyst IT for our Downtown Chicago location.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Performs and/or manages activities relating to planning, designing, building, quality assurance, and maintaining solutions, products and processes; creates and assigns detailed tasks to subordinates; has budget responsibility for a small project, sub-project or process component; works to develop and implement enterprise projects on schedule, on budget, with quality, and to meet customer requirements. Examples of enterprise projects include Andover Upgrade, eRecruit, and eDiscovery. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Performs, manages and appropriately documents work activities relating to small projects, sub-project, support or process. For projects: applies project management rigor, plans, designs, builds, quality assures, and delivers products to specified functionality. For operations/ application maintenance and support: manages to defined service level agreements.Creates and implements training and documentation for products and processes; ensures appropriate communication to all concerned; maintains and enhances business engagement and IT customer relationships; establishes and monitor adherence to standards; establishes positive teaming environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel; provides performance evaluations, career development feedback, and recognition as required.POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and technical skills obtained through assigned functions and training; must have demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to manage to performance indicators; excellent customer skills; strong oral and written communication skills.Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.Preferred skills include: Detail-oriented and good follow through; ability to collect information and draft project documents (including requirements, design, test scripts, schedule, implementation plan, PMO documents, etc.); knowledge of production control procedures; technical knowledge across a wide variety of platforms and technologies including mainframe, distributed, web, Active Directory, networks, servers, security, databases, etc; ability to work with vendors and Exelon IT application maintenance teams to develop, implement, and transition support for enterprise projects; ability to hold oneself and others accountable for tasks and overall project delivery.POSITION SCOPE Prepares and manages financial budget for areas of responsibility; utilizes understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements; helps other team members learn appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate to their skill set portfolio.
