Lead Engineer- Energy & Commercial Power

Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Business or related fields with 10 plus years Commercial Power and Energy experience required.  Plant and systems engineering background is required.  Engineering programs including system and component In-service Inspection (ISI) and/or In-service Testing (IST) programs experience.  We seek someone with applicable industry and regulatory Codes and Standards experience; along with Project and client management background. Ideally we need someone who is able to develop business, market, and sell.  You will direct staff and project teams to fulfill contractual requirements as well as personnel development.  Must be proficient in MS Office and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and able to make presentations.  Daily responsibilities will include project management, technical direction, and program development.  You will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of both internal goals and client satisfaction with regard to projects.  In expanse of your role you will be responsible for guiding and developing staff; developing business leads, identifying opportunities, writing proposals, and close on new contracts; along with assisting in strategic initiatives, group growth, and expansion of capabilities offered to the industry as consulting engineers.  Short term travel to client sites up to 25 percent is necessary and industry forums will be required. This is a full time position with Alion at our Chicago suburban office in Warrenville, IL and comes with full benefits of medical, dental, paid time off, 401-K, etc. No sponsorship is available.
