This position may be filled as a Financial Analyst II, Lead Financial Analyst, or Sr. Lead Financial Analyst depending on candidate’s skills, qualifications and level of experience.

 

This position will prepare, analyze, and communicate timely O&M and Capital results to Utility Operations Management. Specific duties include coordinating the annual 5 year planning and budget cycle for Entergy Mississippi Distribution Operations and Entergy Mississippi President, and monitoring the current year budget and present estimate. This includes special projects assigned related to utility operations.  This position is expected to be the front line point-of-contact for all accounting-related issues for distribution field operations. This position also works with regulatory accounting to respond to data requests, and works closely with Jurisdictional Finance Directors, Vice Presidents and various Directors and Managers in the Operations groups.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (mathematics, economics, accounting, business or relevant field) required. Minimum 4 years finance experience required. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Windows XP and/or 2000. 

 

Required Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build effective teams Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening) and ability to communicate promptly, effectively, and professionally with all levels of management Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, organizing, and decision making skillsAbility to be a proactive, detail-oriented and able to multitask and work accurately and quickly under time pressures created by daily deadlines while staying focused, organized, and professional Budget experience (O&M and Capital Planning) preferred Flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing processes, requirements, and priorities Available to work periodic overtime with the possibility of more extensive overtime when required to meet corporate deadlines.  Willingness to perform job responsibilities of any level and type in order to meet corporate deadlines Excellent PC skills and ability to deliver training sessions as well as develop detailed training and process manual documentation.
