Lead Risk Metrics Analyst (809460560)
The Lead Risk Metrics Analyst will report to the Director, Risk Reporting and under general direction, oversees the development and implementation of highly complex processes that support the performance of daily P&L reporting, performance reporting, financial planning, monthly variance analysis, modeling and valuation analysis, deal assessment, and cost management for Luminant Wholesale.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned. The key roles and responsibilities of this position will include one or more of the following:
• Evaluates manual and automated risk reporting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficiency of workflow and conformance to end use computing practices.
• Identifies needed process improvements and analyzes system design alternatives for new risk reporting processes and improvements to existing processes.
• Develops and implements new or enhanced processes to support the production of daily p&l and position reports, economic portfolio valuations, risk management analysis and other complex tasks within the area of Risk Reporting.
• Develops and implements risk reporting tools that adapt to rapidly evolving product, segmentation, pricing and commodity procurement strategies
• Develops and implements new or enhanced automation of controls and validation to ensure accuracy and timeliness of daily p&l and position reporting.
• Ensures that the development and implementation of processes and controls comply with all applicable end use computing practices. Maintains various records and documentation for risk reporting automated processes.
• Evaluates and resolves user problems related to automated risk reporting process.
• Instructs risk reporting team in the use of automated processes; answers question and assists in resolving problems regarding the methods and procedures of automated processes
• Adapts existing database software, spreadsheets, complex valuation models and other programs to best meet departmental or end user needs.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The minimum education requirements are:
• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, physics, mathematics, computer science or related discipline
• MBA strongly preferred
The minimum experience requirements are:
• 4+ years of experience in financial fields such as accounting, financial planning or financial reporting, financial systems analysis, or in risk management
