The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will lead Six Sigma projects utilizing Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to make high-value improvements to company processes, both transformational and transactional. The Black Belt will be exposed to complex problems that have high management visibility and will broaden the knowledge and understanding of Company cross-functional processes. Additional duties include:Provide process improvement know how, methods and conceptual expertise to teamsTransfer learning across teams and business, providing just in time training to teams, and these teams in presenting data and conclusions clearlyObtain hard financial value within an accelerated time frame by leading teams through the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), utilizing cross-functional team resources, and performing significant data analyses as required. Work with improvement team Project Champions and Process Owners as necessary to address barriers to team success.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics or related field is required. Master’s degree preferred3 or more years of experience in business process improvement using Six Sigma/Lean methodologyExperience in mining or primary metals processing preferred but not requiredBlack Belt certification preferredTechnical competency in Six Sigma skills including DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management and advanced statistical techniques requiredExperience in project leadership, change management and cross functional team leadership
