Level 2 Support Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate will be responsible for level 2 customer support to an AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) System Support team.

Applicant will help trouble shooting the backend of a web based AMI application by parsing internal process logs (manually or programmatically) and coordinate code changes required to resolve the problem. He/she will also develop tools for the Support team to increase the efficiency of level 1 and 2 support (system monitoring tool, database queries, extracting data form XML files)

Candidate will interact with engineers of product development group and management. Must exhibit excellent trouble shooting skills; be able to communicate complex situations clearly. Should have good group personnel and customer relationship skills, needs to be able to work flexible work hours in high stress environment.

 Travel required up to 10% - mostly domestic but some international travel could be required.

Qualifications:2-5 years of experience in C++ and Java programming. Ability to parse, understand and modify existing C++ and Java codes

Ability to diagnose problems with the help of log files provided by they AMI application and Oracle queries. Must have basic understanding of XML, and SQL.

Experience with Python or similar programming languages, XML parsers are preferred but no required.

Knowledge of electricity/gas/water metering and/or electric utilities, with telecommunication is a plus

 Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or equivalent)
