Sr. Licensing Specialist

Salary: $78,500 - $117,500

 

The Specialist, Nuclear Safety & Licensing will be responsible for the execution of the licensing processes and procedures at Entergy Nuclear. This includes: Managing of commitmentsInterface with the NRC Resident inspectors and inspection teamsMaintaining and implementing regulations, including 10CFR50.59, 10 CFR72.48Preparation, review and approval of correspondence to the NRC, including Licensee Event Reports, license amendments, allegation responses, generic letter and NRC Order responses, and required periodic reportsSubmission of performance indicator data to the NRC

Required Qualifications:

BS degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience. 6 years commercial or military nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.

 

Desired Qualifications:

Commercial nuclear experience in licensing strongly preferred. Strong technical writing and communications skills. Strong Presentation skills.

 

Engineer, Licensing (Sr. Lead Engineer)

Salary: $86,000 - $128,000

 

Responsible for maintaining the licensing basis at each of Entergy's nuclear stations and serving as the primary liaison between the stations and the NRC. This includes preparing routine and special NRC correspondence, coordinating NRC visits and inspections, and interfacing with regional and national NRC offices.

 

Required Qualifications:

BS Degree in Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline/physical science generally  associated with power plant operations or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience is defined as  demonstrated success at the Engineer/Technical Specialist level. 0 - 8 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon Engineering  level. Experience in site or corporate Licensing organizations. Excellent communication skills and experience/proficiency in PC use and applications.

 

Desired Qualifications:

SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR. Professional Engineering license.
