Based in our West Branch facility, Acciona Windpower seeks a Stockroom Specialist reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. This entry-level position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inbound receipts, managing the orderly storage of components, system integrity, proper flagging of parts in MRO, and performing regular inventories. This position will contribute to building a flexible, world class supply chain which supports the most efficient production and installation of wind turbines.

 

Responsibilities:Responsible for clean and orderly storage of assembly components.Verify receipts to confirm quantity and part number and purchase order matching.Process inbound receipts of mechanical and engineered components, ensuring accuracy of packing list, good condition of items received, and proper put away. Enter receiving and inventory transactions into JD Edwards business system. Retrieve components from Stockroom according to the Bill of Materials, and stage for daily production.Process Return to Stock transactions and movements.Participate in regular inventories.Use forklift to move goods as needed for receiving, inventories and daily operations.Maintain careful records and well-organized files. Perform daily housekeeping tasks.

 

Requirements:

 Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and WordFamiliarity with Kanban, 5S, and other Lean Manufacturing concepts a plus.Minimum 1-3 years Forklift experience a must; candidate must achieve OSHA forklift certification after hire, and maintain this certification ongoing. Minimum 1-3 years experience required in warehousing, stockroom, or inventory control. Understanding of inventory control and transactions using a business system such as SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, RTCIS, etc. Basic understanding of mechanical/ technical components, such as castings, bearings, steel fabrications, gearboxes, fiberglass moldings, hydraulic systems and control systems. Accurate and quick data entry skills.  Ability to create and file careful recordsFluency in Spanish a plus. Able to lift and carry up to 50lb.  Able to stand, kneel, and bend as needed to stock shelves and distribute parts.
