INGENCO is a Richmond-based leader in the rapidly growing field of distributed electricity generation and the largest producer of renewable energy in Virginia.  Our market area is nationwide.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to perform tactical-level work in the maintenance area.  Work includes planning, scheduling, and managing maintenance function in INGENCO's power production facilities.  The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining mechanical plant equipment, including engines, auxiliary cooling equipment, and water delivery systems.  Will also be responsible for maintenance safety programs, training, preventive maintenance systems, and environmental issues that may fall under Maintenance Department control, including meeting permit requirements, fuel spills, water discharges, and air discharges.

Must possess knowledge of operation, repair, and maintenance of power generating and/or other industrial facilities; knowledge of standard maintenance practices for diesel power generation; and OSHA related safety training requirements.  Must be able to analyze operating data to determine engine failure root cause.  Must read and understand regulations.  Must also record and prepare operating exceptions reports.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years diesel mechanic experience, including at least 5 years in mechanical supervision.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  College degree in engineering or mechanical/science field preferred, but not required.  Must have a thorough understanding of diesel engine maintenance practices and procedures and be well-acquainted with preventive maintenance systems and procedures.  Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office software experience required.
