Entergy Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations. We own and operate power plants, and are the second-largest nuclear generator in the United States. This position will be located at our Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant in Vernon, VT.

Specialist I & C

 Review I&C work documents and associated work plans. Determine special I&C work requirements and incorporate into work documentsDetermine applicability of various special permitsPerform reviews and audits of work performed by various organizationsPropose time saving tooling and work methodsConduct I&C pre-job planning meetingsDevelop and revise I&C procedures in accordance with current regulatory and administrative requirementsEnhance communications by performing a liaison function between various work groupsPerform work in progress and post-job reviews for inclusion into I&C job history files. Use this information when planning similar future workOrganize, assemble, and maintain I&C job history files to aid in future planning and estimatingPropose plant design changes that improve station and personnel efficiencyPerform cost benefit analysis to evaluate tools, equipment and processes for potential implementationEnsure adequate inventory of tools, specialized equipment, and support personnel. Interface with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of I&C station activitiesCommunicate I&C technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. Participate in the shared resources programServe as a member of the Emergency Response Organization

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

6 years commercial or military nuclear experience. B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience. Technical proficiency in the I&C area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 5 years experience in the associated department. SRO certification on BWR or PWR. Proficiency with current computer business applications.
