Manager, Business Analyst

 

Serves as applications business expert. Responsible for all business uses and identification of training needs in support of assigned essential business system(s). Responsible for business analysis support to an assigned essential business system including systems analysis and documentation and analysis of existing procedures and business requirements. Also assists in the development and improvement of technology solutions to ensure that business targets and objectives are met for assigned business system(s).

 

Responsibilities include:

· Serving as the liaison between the Business Organization and Technology Services by analyzing business and user needs, defining requirements, representing the user in the design, development, validation and implementation of appropriate technology solutions for assigned essential business system.

· Ensuring that the consistent and cost-effective delivery of technology projects and systems are in alignment with business processes and policies.

· Providing organizational design and development services, including process mapping and analysis, improvement recommendations, establishment of control mechanisms and other improvement initiatives. 

· Developing and deploying process improvements as related to essential technology business systems.

· Providing expertise and assistance to process owners for assigned essential business system(s).

· Providing day to day mentoring for business staff regarding use of assigned essential business system. 

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, communications or related field preferred.

 

 

Experience: Minimum of eight years experience in defining business and technical requirements, systems analysis, business process modeling, representing users on systems project teams, problem solving with large, complex cross-functional systems and implementing technology solutions.  Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. Demonstrated experience with SEI/CMM and SDLC preferred.  Prior experience in Network Meter reading, knowledge of Cellnet technology or meter data management systems is preferred.

 

 

 

A valid driver's license is required prior to employment and must be maintained during employment in this classification.
