SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (OVERTIME, IRREGULAR HOURS, TRAVEL, ETC.):
This position supervises a group of Information Systems (application development and maintenance) professionals including entry-level to senior-level programmers, analysts, and project leads. Delivers solutions that meet the current and future business goals of business units supported. This includes the research, analysis, design, construction, procurement, testing and implementation of information systems and services. Works with internal customers to develop and maintain an information technology strategy that meets the long-term automation requirements of the supported business unit. Reviews and modifies departmental procedures and processes as required. Practices exceptional project management skills and develops the same in others. Strong budgeting and forecasting skills. Manages staff coordination, day-to-day supervision, project priorities, status reporting, and adherence to standards. Provides for work coverage 24x7 and during periods of emergency preparedness and personnel absence. Holds team accountable for meeting due date and cost estimate commitments.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of 8 years experience in progressively more complex assignments in information technology.
At least 5 years of project management experience.
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory/ management experience.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Previous experience managing an IS department responsible for supporting Work Management, GIS, and Metering Systems is preferred.
Prior Business Partnership/ Account Management experience preferred.
Knowledge of implementing a work-force scheduling tool is preferred.
Electric and/or gas utility experience preferred.
Project Management certification preferred.
Working knowledge of ITIL preferred.
FERC Accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure (mainframe, distributed computing platforms and network).
Advanced degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field required.
Advanced degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field desired.
