Manager Gas Supply Planning

OCCUPATION: Strategic Planning/Intelligence Experience the personal challenge of working for a world class organization and leader in the Utilities and Energy industry as the Manager of Gas Supply Planning at our Hicksville, NY location.  As the Manager of Gas Supply Planning you will lead the planning process for the gas supply and capacity for the KeySpan Energy Delivery New York (KEDNY) and KeySpan Energy Delivery Long Island (KEDLI) local distribution companies.  You will ensure our resource portfolio is sufficient to meet the Company’s forecast load obligations in the most reliable and cost effective manner while maximizing financial incentives available to the Company through innovative incentive mechanisms.  Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:  Manages the planning process for the Company’s downstate New York local gas distribution region, which includes the companies operating as KEDNY and KEDLI.  Responsible for determining the supply and capacity necessary to provide adequate and reliable natural gas supply and ensuring those contracts are executed and managed consistent with regulatory policies and practices. Accountable for determining the long-term and short-term resource mix of portfolio assets needed to meet the Company’s regulated gas supply obligations.  Accountable for the gas supply cost calculation including testimony and technical support of regulatory filings to ensure full recovery of the Company’s gas costs. Assist in the development of gas hedging and procurement strategies consistent with regulatory policies and practices. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in Business (Finance, Accounting), Engineering or Economics 5+ years of experience in this or a related field Leadership and management skills Advanced written and oral presentation skills Knowledge and Experience Required: Natural gas markets and infrastructure, including supply, storage, transportation, transmission, generation, and capacity. State and federal utility regulation, industry restructuring and ratemaking. Gas supply and planning functions.
