Manager QA/QC, Safety & Technical Training



 

South Jersey Gas in Folsom, New Jersey (located between Philadelphia and Atlantic City) has a tremendous opportunity to join its Operations team as the Manager, QA/QC, Safety & Technical Training.

 

In this newly created role, you will:work closely with the executive team to enhance and implement the corporate safety programplan and execute QA/QC and technical training programssupport Compliance in the review and timely implementation of federal and state codes/regulations in regard to gas pipeline and distribution systemshave oversight of operational audits to determine compliance with pipeline safety lawsidentify operational safety concerns and develop recommendations to improve internal controls to maximize effectiveness and efficiencydirect Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements as they relate to the workforce; update the plan; interact with LDS’s to maintain uniformity in OQ activitiesconduct studies and participate in special task forces to evaluate efficiencies in training and make recommendations to improve programsdevelop, oversee budget for departments under your responsibility

 Candidates under consideration should possess the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Training/Development, Organizational Development, Industrial Hygiene, or other related field; Minimum 10 years progressive work experience in safety program development and management as well as QA/QC and/or technical training related to utility operations; demonstrated ability to successfully implement a safety program; thorough understanding of QA/QC and training requirements in a gas distribution utility; excellent interpersonal and computer skills are required.  Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment and interact with all level of employee.
