MANAGER OF RATES

In this position you would be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the process of preparing and litigating the Company's rate filings.  Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:Prepare forecast of the need for and the timing of rate increases; Participate in the planning/budgeting processes to ensure timely recognition of investments in rate base;  Manage the process of preparing the documentation necessary to file and litigate a rate case;  Interface with the Company's attorneys and consultants;Prepare answers to interrogatories;Act as a witness in the litigation process; Participate in utility commission policy investigations to represent the Company’s interest; Monitor relevant publications for trends and prepares management briefings; Interface with other departmental executives to determine future rate case adjustments; Prepare special reports as needed; Prepare relevant documents requested by or required be the Commission: Develop and maintain regulatory and legislative relationships in assigned jurisdiction; Act as communications liaison with certain Commission staff members.



Requirements


The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business related discipline and a thorough understanding of accounting and tax concepts.  Must have extensive experience with personal computers and spreadsheet software.  Requires a minimum of ten years public utility regulatory experience and 15 years general utility finance/accounting experience.
