Power Advisory LLC (www.poweradvisoryllc.com) is a specialized independent consulting firm providing electricity market analysis and strategy, power procurement, policy development, regulatory and litigation support, market design and project feasibility assessment.  As a recent start-up, the firm is looking for a hard-working, entrepreneurial senior staff member who can provide the  full range of support to clients and office personnel. 

Position Description

Managing Consultant performs financial, statistical, technical, economic data collection and analyses, spreadsheet and datebase creation and management, and document preparation.  He/she is responsible for conducting electricity industry, market structure, and competitor-analysis studies and performing research.  She/he works with the president and associates to develop her/his research and analytical skills.Managing Consultants should have a sophisticated understanding of the energy industry in dealing with our industry experts.  The office is a fast-paced, deadline driven workplace in Carlisle, MA.

 

Essential Duties and ReponsibilitiesDevelop computer models, including complex spreadsheet analyses Draft reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations Prepare portions of client communications Initiate practice development efforts including proposal preparation

 

Valued Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFour-year degree in  business, economics, engineering or other analytical disicipline (required) Five to ten years experience conducting research and analysis including report and presentation development and delivery Strong oral and written communication skills Detailed understanding of energy markets and government policy Efficient, flexible, creative problem solving skills Advanced business computer skills, specifically advanced knowledge of MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Well-developed research skills, including the use of the Internet and other information sources Ability to generate quality work products efficiently
