Market Planner

OCCUPATION: Brand/Product Marketing;Direct Marketing (CRM);General/Other: Marketing/Product National Grid seeks an experienced Market Planner for our Electric Sales & Marketing Department in our Melville, New York location.  The primary objective of the position is to create, develop, and implement marketing strategies, plans, and programs on behalf of the Long Island Power Authority.  In this position some typical responsibilities would include:· Developing product/services/ and marketing programs that meet the needs of our residential and commercial electric customers, in order to retain and grow the segments.· Performing risk assessments for new and existing target segments.· Identifying and developing market research strategies.  · Implementing market segmentation strategies which include effective and creative promotional efforts, including brochure design, direct mail promotions, and Web site strategies. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelors’ degree (preferably in Marketing, Business or Engineering), MBA or advanced degree preferred and a minimum of three years of marketing experience.   Experience with market research, market planning, program development is required.  Must be able to create and implement aggressive marketing plans with measurable goals and develop the means to accomplish theses goals.  The candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word etc.).
