RECRUITMENT PROFILE: MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DRAFTER

 

The Organization

 

Impact Selector Inc (ISI) manufactures, rents, and leases a comprehensive range of technologically advanced mechanical impact tools for open-hole and cased-hole wireline operations. ISI jars allow for more efficient and safer operations in even the harshest environments by virtually eliminating the risk of a stuck string and the staggering costs associated with stripovers, fishing, and rig downtime.

 

The Role

 

Based in Houston, TX, the position of Drafter, reports to the Engineering Manager. The Drafter will be responsible for generating drawings from design layouts, sketches and modifying existing drawings.

 

In addition, the Drafter may be called upon to assist with other Engineering Department duties such as reviewing ECO’s, preparing test plans and technical manuals.

 

Candidate Specifications

 

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successfully carrying out these duties in a similar organization.

 

He/she will have utilized Solid Works at some stage, and be able use this software package to it’s full potential.

 

CAREER EXPERIENCE

 

·  Minimum 5 years career experience in the oil and gas industry. Downhole tool experience preferred.

·  Positive track record of taking drafting projects from start to finish.

·  History of positive direct interaction and extensive contact with vendors and manufacturing companies in the oil and gas industry.
