For more information about Progress Energy, visit the company's Web site at www.progress-energy.com. Job DescriptionManager of Environmental and Radiation Control The Brunswick Nuclear Plant is a dual unit BWR located in Southport, NC.  The Manager of E&RC provides leadership for the team responsible for the Radiation Protection, Chemistry and Environmental functions.  Responsibilities include: Provide leadership for a team of 80 people to achieve and maintain high levels of proficiency and morale. Provide strategic and tactical direction to: Develop and implement Radiation Protection and ALARA programs and practices to meet industry best practice standards Develop and implement plant process chemistry control programs to achieve top quartile performance Develop and implement environmental monitoring programs to comply with applicable regulations and meet industry best practice standards Work as a member of the site leadership team to achieve site performance goals and improve plant performance.
