Mine Engineering Analyst - Kosse TX

Luminant is a competitive power generation business, including mining, wholesale marketing and trading, construction and development.  It has over 18,300 MW of generation in Texas, including 2,300 MW of nuclear and 5,800 MW of coal-fueled generation capacity, and is the largest purchaser of wind-generated electricity in Texas and fifth largest in the U.S.

 

The Mine Engineering Analyst position is responsible for coordinating technicians activities as well as initiating and coordinating projects necessary for the continual operation of the mine.

Key Roles & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:

•Performs basic engineering tasks of design, evaluation, problem solving, analysis, planning, and project scheduling under the direct guidance of engineering staff or management.
•Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
•Interface with engineering staff, mine site operations groups, and other TXU personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
•Participate in special projects and committee assignments as requested.
Qualifications:
•Associates Degree or higher
•Related experience that promotes development in the areas described by the major accountabilities and key competencies of this job.
•Experience in CAD drawing packages.
•Experience in design (i.e., roads, ponds, diversions).
•Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
•Experience in quality control of construction projects.
•Microstation or AutoCAD experience.
•Thorough knowledge of mining methods, construction methods, design criteria and regulatory requirements.
