Infinite Energy is seeking a Network & Systems Security Engineer. This position is responsible for safeguarding company information including company data and enterprise network assets; primarily concerned with hardware and software data processing and data communications; analyzes information security systems and applications and recommends and develops security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss; troubleshoots network access problems and implements network security policies and procedures; ensures network security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification or destruction of network and hardware company resources.




The Engineer will develop a security strategy and objectives that result in the planning and use of tools and processes to monitor the security profile of the IEI technology infrastructure. This may include: providing advice and guidelines to project teams and personnel to develop network security solutions consistent with the current security strategy; working with members to complete network attack and penetration testing on the client’s network infrastructure. Additionally, will be required to work with functional teams to identify opportunities and provide recommendations on special security related projects to implement password locked screensavers, User roles with enforced logon and logoff hours, and enterprise applications permissions standardization. The Security Engineer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected, ensuring that all applications are functional and secure.




Requirements:5-8 years of hands-on network design and operations experience with one or more of the following: Checkpoint FW1, Cisco routers/switches, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), UNIX, Virtual Private Networking BS Degree in Computer Systems Engineering or similar field, preferably with emphasis in Systems security Must have strong working knowledge/experience with two or more IDS systems: Dragon, SecureNet Pro, Cisco IDS, Snort, etc (Dragon is preferred) Experience conducting vulnerability and penetration scans using Nessus, Internet Security Scanner (ISS), Cybercop CCSP certification preferred
