We are seeking a Procedure Writer for our 1100 MW nuclear power plant (PWR) at Diablo Canyon, near San Luis Obispo, CA.PROCEDURE WRITERRESPONSIBILITIES:1. Write, revise, and/or review operating procedures, alarm manuals, and operations surveillance tests, using MS Word, other software applications, and site-developed software tools. 2. Conduct research and determine effective implementation methods and strategies from plant documentation, design information, interviews, walk-downs, plant and industry operating experience, and personal experience. 3. Review licensing basis information to ensure compliance of proposed procedure content with regulatory requirements. Thoroughly capture basis and background information in supporting documentation. Respond promptly to emergent procedure requests from line organizations when needed to support work. Conduct procedure validations by coordinating procedure performance on the plant simulator. 4. Review proposed design changes for potential procedure impact. Participate in project and/or schedule development to coordinate and integrate procedure support with the activities of other site organizations. Safety is a foundational job requirement. This individual must be 100% committed to the safety and health of themselves, their co-workers, and the community.REQUIREMENTS:• At least 8 years Nuclear Power Plant Operations experience, OR at least 3 years Operations experience and a BS degree in Engineering or the physical sciences.
