It all starts here, with you.The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:-Individual will be a member of a team responsible for inspecting and servicing reactor auxiliaries, turbine generators, mechanical and electrical auxiliaries and other plant equipment usually contained in a nuclear power plant-Duties include start up, operate, inspect, and shut down primary and secondary plant systems and associated components; perform or assist with scheduled operational tests on protective devices and safety systems-Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, maintaining clear and accurate logs of key system operating parameters, submitting trouble reports to document degraded or inoperable equipment, and performing switching and tagging on mechanical and electrical equipment-Individual will also train for and as needed perform duties as a site fire brigade responder-This position requires working on a rotating shift schedule, overtime, working to extremely high work standards, and requires excellent communications skills As a member of the site fire brigade you will be required to qualify to wear SCBA's, participate in live fire scenarios at the fire fighting simulator, participate in fire training drills and be prepared to respond as a team member to actual station fires.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Three years of power plant experience or two years of related technical training and greater than six months power plant experience required-Preference will be given to individuals who have a bachelor s degree, as well as those who show evidence of skills and experience that indicate the potential to obtain an operator license-Passing a Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) test is required for this position, as well as successful completion of Non-Licensed Initial Training

Test Required:

Certification and Other Qualifications:
Must meet applicable location specific minimum education, experience, and training requirements specified by the American National Standard Industrial (ANSI) for the qualification and training of nuclear power plant personnel.
