Job Description:Reactor Engineering is the test oriented, nuclear engineering disciplined team of engineers in the Nuclear Engineering Department.The primary function of the Reactor Engineering Section is to ensure optimum core performance through the effective implementation of monitoring, testing, and technical support to Operations in areas relating to core performance, fuel handling and testing.The major activities include, but are not necessarily limited to:Core Performance Surveillance Testing• Monthly Surveillance testing• Start-up physics testingCore Performance Monitoring• Daily trending of core related parameters• Maintain and develop "software" packages for software controlled by the Reactor Engineering Section.Operational Support• Reactivity Plan developmentFuel Integrity Monitoring Program• Radiochemistry AnalysisSpecial Nuclear Materials Control and Accountability• Refueling sequence generationOversight for Core SafetyJob Experience:Bachelors Degree in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited university.Experience in reactor engineering required.Other Desired Skills:Nuclear Reactor EngineerApply Online[gj.005869850.2]
