PSEG is the second largest Nuclear Power facility in the U.S. Our Plants, Salem UnitsI & II (PWR Plants) and Hope Creek (BWR Plant) are located in Southern NJ on the Delaware River just 25 minutes from the state of Delaware and 45 minutes from Philadelphia. 

 



Nuclear Shift Supervisor

 Following license training for Salem Nuclear Generating Station, provide direct oversight of plant operations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of nuclear plant equipment. Operate Salem Generating Station in accordance with Technical Specifications and established station procedures using conservative decision-making and good judgment. Provide direct supervision of operating shift including bargaining unit personnel.Direct fuel handling such as refueling and fuel inspections. Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained. Evaluate and respond to issues, findings, open items and requests originating internally and externally from the organization. Perform routine work control activities while assigned to the work control center Prior to license training, will perform a variety of duties in support of plant operations.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain/maintain SRO License, satisfying ANSI/ANS 3.1-1981; 4.3.1.1 requirements for the position. Off-hours, weekend and shift work is required. Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access.

 

DESIRED: BS Degree Engineering, Applied Science, RO license. Experience in directing /supervising bargaining unit personnel. Must be capable of qualifying for and obtaining SRO license at Salem Station. Qualified (or capable of becoming qualified) as a SQR and a Safety Evaluation preparer/reviewer/approver.
