And we welcome anyone who shares our commitment to ingenuity and excellence.EOE/AA EmployerO&M Instrumentation & Calibration Technician IIIPrinciple Duties: Disassembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, calibrates, tests, and performs periodic maintenance of specialty equipment systems and controls. Operates such electronic test equipment as multimeters, frequency generators and counters, and digital logic probes. Inspects, evaluates and determines necessary modification, performs complex repairs or removal of instruments or devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance. May troubleshoot service or resolve problems while performing unscheduled work. Records and reports abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment and initiates corrective action and documentation. Documents daily record of inspection, maintenance activity, repair and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures. Reinstalls, tests, evaluates, calibrates, and maintains instruments or devices upon completion of repairs. Communicates with customer staff in the calibration, repair and operation of equipment as necessary. Performs work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety procedures. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications:  Two-year degree, scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience. Knowledge and understanding of cGMP’s for pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biologics. Five years experience in instrumentation, controls, installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment or equivalent experience. Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature flow and pressure. Working knowledge of computers and preferred experience with Procal 2000. Required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. Two-year degree, scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience.  Five years of experience in instrumentation and control or installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment or equivalent experience.  May require Level II or Level III ISA Certification.  Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow and pressure.  Must have appropriate license or certification where required by federal, state or local laws.  Working knowledge of computers/PLC's.Required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.  Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and lift heavy objects weighting up to 50 lbs.  Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.  May require experience specific to the pharmaceutical R&D industry including the making of chemical standards using appropriate techniques for weighing, pipetting, mixing, diluting, and verifying concentrations.  May require an understanding of FDA regulations, GMPs, and GLPs and use of scientific notation (specific to pharmaceutical industry).
