O&M Technician III needed for Calumet Energy, Chicago IL

North American Energy Services, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for an Operations & Maintenance Technician for the Calumet Energy Facility in Chicago, IL.



The O&M Technician III is responsible for:monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis  responding to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and executings plant shut-down and start-up procedures as required assuring that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner.

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.




Qualifications:

Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school.  Minimum one year experience as a qualified O&M Technician II or equivalent position in an operating or generating plant Associate Degree in a technical field desirable. Must successfully complete the O&M Technician III qualification card. Must successfully complete a Mechanical Aptitude test and a Basic Mathematical test.
