Operations Technician-Intern

Farmington, New Mexico or Durango, Colorado

The Operations Technician-Intern will play a key role in delivering the production of natural gas, condensate and produced water from a geographically diverse area in the San Juan Basin of northeast New Mexico and/or southwest Colorado.  Specifically, the Operations Technician-Intern will work on a production team, a compression team, or an instrument/control team.


Accountabilities Include:Establish safe and environmentally sound operations.Assist in the basic maintenance on production equipment to prevent environmental and safety incidents and to optimize production.Provide written maintenance/repair work orders for operations in a proficient manner.Assist in the repair of certain components of the field automation system.Perform tasks assigned by their Team Leader, Lead Technician or mentor.Follow all company rules and abide by policies and procedures.Work alternative work schedules if needed, such as different starting/quitting times and/or different days off other than Saturday and Sunday.Participate in a Performance Evaluation review.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Operations Technician-Intern applicants must have:Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.Completed at least 1 year toward an Associates Degree in a Lease Operator Program, Natural Gas Compression, Industrial Process Operator Program or Process Control and Instrumentation Operator Program.A current overall GPA of 2.5 or higher.The willingness and ability to relocate to or commute on a daily basis to Farmington, New Mexico and/or Durango, Colorado.The willingness and ability to work weekends and overtime when needed.
