PDS Field Service Technician - Fresno, CA

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Fresno, CA has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician.The primary function of the Service Technician is to provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in the areas of installation, testing, start-up, maintenance, repair, training and modification of electrical power distribution equipment, controls and rotating apparatus for commercial, petrochemical, mining, water and waste water and power generation facilities. Individuals must be capable of self-managing assigned projects for electrical equipment, including a working knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment. Equipment includes circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, relays, meters, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, transducers, contactors, ground-grid systems, switchboards, panelboards and various other electrical equipment. Candidate must be able to deliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism. Performs conventional less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.
