PRODUCTION ENGINEER ADVISOR

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Mentor, coach and develop less experienced engineers in all aspects of the production engineering functions and key job responsibilities. Take the lead and work with multi-disciplined teams to perform high level production engineering work associated with the active / dynamic infill drilling program (candidate selection, well package preparation, job execution and trouble shooting) in heavy oil waterflood, incorporating DA / probabilistic economic analysis, sand control techniques (gravel packs, frac packs and various screens including ensuring adequate inventory), water control (producers and injectors), stimulation and artificial lift selection / optimization. Lead in all aspects of the artificial lift contracts (PCP, ESP and sucker rod) from preparing / evaluating bid packages to daily monitoring of activities / performance to ensure high quality, continuous availability of services and equipment. Identify and lead various trials of new equipment to continually improve reliability / run life. Ensure sufficient artificial lift equipment inventories are available to support normal well service work, and the above infill drilling and major rig workover programs. Required (Basic) Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering. A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience: The ability to work with Energy Technology Company to identify, frame and lead critical technical studies such as water / profile control in water flood and aquifer areas, as well as sand control completions and artificial lift studies for North Boscan. The ability to lead, work with and bring together diverse skill groups, get the job done well and develop consensus and ownership in work products.
