Payroll Analyst

As part of our continuous improvement initiative, we are in the process of implementing UltiPro, a new HR/Payroll/Benefit system. This implementation will result in enhanced work flow and efficiencies, and will create some exciting career opportunities in our downtown Houston, TX corporate office as we align our structure to support these changes. We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Analyst (Garnishments & Fringe Benefits) for our corporate office located in downtown Houston, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Entering, monitoring and ensuring complete compliance with regards to all wage assignments ensuring accuracy and timeliness Responding timely to queries from wage assignment agencies and/or employees Reviewing and auditing payment list to A/P Dept, or outside vendor, to process wage assignment remittance timely and as ordered Administering and reconciling all aspects of fringe benefits, taxable and non-taxable, such as stock options, relocation, GTL, Expat benefits, etc. Participating in year end close, testing, correcting out-of-balance conditions, and ensuring accurate and timely W-2 processing Assisting team with ensuring overall compliance with any other related aspect Maintaining controls, running periodic audits, analyzing and assessing, and identifying process and system improvements to increase efficiency & effectiveness Working within established payroll timeline and meeting deadlines 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field of study or directly related equivalent experience Three to five (3-5) years experience working with high volume of wage assignments in a multi-FEIN employer environment CPP or FPC a plus Strong analytical skills and ability to research and respond to queries, both internal and external Compliance knowledge, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Ability to work with high volume of data and deliver timely with successful results Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to adapt well to change and handle multiple tasks effectively Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with all stakeholders Experience working effectively in a team environment Ability to maintain confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
