Plant Controller

Panda Ethanol is seeking to add a strong Plant Controller to its team of accounting professionals.

This position will be responsible for:Ensuring the month-end close process is completed timely, accurately and in accordance with GAAPDeveloping and adhering to internal controls and SOx compliance for all plant operationsAssisting in budgeting, forecasting and variance explanationsEvaluating procedures and internal controls; making recommendations to various departments for areas of improvementManaging the system of production reporting used to collect date for costing, inventory valuation and pricingProviding overall direction relative to forecasting and related financial analysesWorking closely with commodities and risk management on commodity transactionsOversees the commodities accounting functionProviding support to corporate management and plant management with financial metrics, analysis and reportingResponsible for all plant accounts payable and receivables function

Qualifications include:Bachelors degree in accounting5-7 years of previous experience in an accounting management rolePrevious supervisory experienceDemonstrated ability to independently analyze and resolve issuesExcellent communications skills with the ability to work with all levels within the corporationStrong computer skills in Excel, familiar with Platinum systems, FRx report writing a plusPrevious background in an agricultural or manufacturing environment preferred
