Power Generation Senior Operations Manager

System One is seeking a Senior Operations Turbine Manager for a leading edge and fast growing provider of OEM Power Generation Equipment.  SUMMARY: The Operations Manager will be a team leader for the implementation and the integrated management of Major Steam Turbine or Gas Turbine Repair, Upgrade Projects and Field Services.  Applicants must have Power Generation experience. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Implementation of Steam Turbine or Gas Turbine Projects Lead the development of Project Management tools within the company Provide supervision to Project Managers on projects as assigned by General Manager Assure Compliance to Multi-Facility Procedures and suggest improvements as necessary Provide definition and training in Project Management function Monitor cost and schedule status on a weekly basis on all major projects Inform GM-Service & Manufacturing of any issues impacting cost, schedule and customer satisfaction Report status at the project level to the Vice President and his staff as required Assure schedule integration on all multi-facility projects Assure all special contract requirements are identified and communicated Assure timely customer communications and responsiveness Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager-Service & Manufacturing Support ISO 9001 compliance and initiatives QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering 15 years experience in Power Industry or equivalent work experience Familiarity with the design of rotating equipment for the power industry 10 years Project Management Experience 10 years experience in Leadership Positions Proven Cross Functional Leadership Skills Use of Project Management Schedule Software Use of Microsoft Office Software Suite Ability to travel as necessary Ability to handle multiple assignments DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:  MSME (EE), MBA or equivalent work experience Familiarity with cost/schedule earned value concepts BENEFITS:   Top-tier technology.
