The SCADA/EMS Section supports systems critical for the safe and reliable operation of PG&E's electric transmission system. This is a great opportunity to get exposure to the dynamic environment of real-time operations in PG&E's core business. There may be rare occasions to travel to remote PG&E sites.  Posted position is Journey level, but some candidates may quality for this position at an Associate level.  Current location is in San Francisco; future relocation to Vacaville may be required. Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate with other departments within PG&E to ensure Energy Management System (EMS) and associated applications and systems are available 99.95% for real-time transmission operators, dispatchers, and operations engineers.2. Configure and maintain VSAT (Voltage Security Assessment Tool) system.3. Develop expertise to test, maintain, and troubleshoot EMS systems, including SCADA model, NETWORK model, SCADA front-ends, communications, state estimation, and supporting applications.4. Manage multiple clients to ensure critical needs are met quickly and efficiently; manage time appropriately in a time-sensitive operations environment.5. Always: put safety first, follow all PG&E safety rules, and maintain equipment in safe conditions.
