Chevron's Information Technology Company (CITC) is accepting online applications for the position of Product Analyst located in either Houston, TX or San Ramon, CA through end of day on May 20, 2008.Overview:The ITC Product Analysts will manage and develop strategies for IT products/service lines by working closely with IT management, Delivery/Operations, Supplier Management, and the Business Units (BU). They will seek to understand IT requirements and align technology services with business needs; and shape overall architectural and technology directions. They will develop technology product plans and processes that fit corporate IT initiatives and service level objectives. They will be part of the ITC Product Management Team that has commercial responsibility for ITC's global infrastructure products and services, a $400 Million business. Product Management is also responsible for common ITC business processes including: Service Catalog, product plans, labor rates, IT supply chain management, securing products and services, product packaging, provisioning, cost recovery, and financial reporting. Responsibilities focus on developing and managing a set of commercial products aligned with customer needs, which can vary globally due to a wide diversity of regional business and technological conditions.The Product Analysts will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing cross functional product plans/processes for their portfolio programs. They will perform cross functional coordination for ITC’s product communication plans, quarterly performance reporting and financial forecasting to ensure consistency across the organization. They will also participate in the development of ITC’s Annual Portfolio and Business Plan for the products and services they manage. Our Product Analysts work closely with Finance Management in performing special analyses to assess the business implications of product commercialization, packaging, licensing, pricing, and revenue scenarios. Working with ITC strategic sourcing, the Product Analysts should have supplier management skills that include participation in supplier sourcing (RFP) and selection as well as the development of negotiation strategies. Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Technology Management Leadership • Aligns IT products and services with business strategies • Collaborates with Global Delivery to develop product plans and portfolio programs. • Influences technology teams to deliver on service directions and meet business requirements. • Strategy • Understand business requirements and tracks technology trends • Develops Product Models and lifecycle management strategies. • Forecast and publish three year investment roadmaps • Collaborate with Delivery organization to develop and manage service strategies• Financial Management • Product and service financial modeling • Designing a commercial product and service portfolio • Billing and cost recovery • Monitoring and reporting• Relationship Management • Setting service levels (SLA’s) aligned with business requirements • Managing service relationships with customers and stakeholders • Securing a wide variety of internal and third party suppliers • Collaborating with internal ITC Groups (e.g. Strategic Sourcing, IGS) • Work with Strategic Sourcing in managing third party providers (e.g., Microsoft, HP, IBM, EDS, CompuCom)Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Deliver superior results.• Strategic thinking: understand business requirements and tracks technology trends.• Good Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in written form.• Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment, sharing ideas and knowledge.
