Position Overview:Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting online applications for the position of Production Technologist - Hoist located in Bakersfield, California through May 21, 2008. (Re-Opened)Position is currently located in the Kern River Field but subject to final placement within the local Bakersfield Area. Will be a team member responsible for providing hoist and downhole technical support to the South Valley Routine Rig Operations. Position will report to Rig Operations Superintendent and will support 8-36 puling hoists depending on location with a 2008 expense budget of $105MM. Hub operations execute 900 well services per month. Position includes review of rig daily tickets of all support services, development of Standard Operating procedures, field and rig visits with extended hours in some cases. Facilitation of hoist supervisor meetings and interactions with Business partner supervision along with Chevron engineers, Production Techs., and Operations Supervisors will be a daily event.Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:(1) Manage and review daily rig operating functions working directly with the Business Partner supervisors(2) Responsible for the safe execution of well work and adherence to all policies and procedures.Basic Qualifications:- Relocation benefits will not be considered.- Expatriate Assignment will not be considered.- This is a safety sensitive Position.Selection Criteria:Chevron Way: Must demonstrate those behaviors and skills that support high integrity, work ethic and aligned with all CW values.
