Programmer Analyst - SAP (FI/CO)

Suburban operates in 10 geographic regions throughout the country serving over 1.1 million customers.   Suburban Propane invites you to apply for our position of Programmer/Analyst – SAP (FI/CO).  This position, located in our Corporate Headquarters in Whippany, NJ supports the FI/CO business areas with development and daily support needs.  In this position, you will be responsible for writing of technical specifications, coding, testing and documenting software modifications to meet business requirements, to include revising and updating software/programs and documentation as required.  Principal Duties and Responsibilities: ¨  Develop and maintain application programs based upon system specifications. ¨  Participate in system and integration testing. ¨  Troubleshoot, identify and resolve day to day problems that occur within the programs or software. ¨  Apply updates and fixes to the software applications based upon business areas needs. ¨  Develop end user documentation.   Position Specifications: ¨  Understanding of the full life cycle system development. ¨  Strong technical skills with SAP ABAP including dialog and ALV Grid programming. ¨  Codes, tests and implements ABAP program and modifications. ¨  Work with specific business area lead and senior programmer/analyst to configure SAP module(s) to achieve the desired “best business” practices as they relate to Suburban Propane and all its  associated businesses. ¨  Provide SAP production system support services including investigation of processing errors and system problems.   Position Requirements: ¨  B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent with four (4) years relevant SAP FI/CO development experience required. ¨  Excellent oral and written communication skills. ¨  Background in Accounting or finance a plus. ¨  Proven history of performance in the SAP arena. ¨  Ability to work under pressure in order to handle production support issues and deadlines. ¨  Self starter able to work under general supervision. ¨  Must possess MS Office familiarity (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.). ¨  Creativity and latitude required.     Suburban offers a competitive salary with incentive potential and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k and tuition assistance.   If you are interested in this position we ask that you apply online by clicking the “Apply Now” button.  We also invite you to visit our website at www.suburbanpropane.com to learn more about our company or to view other employment opportunities.
