Our client requires Project Development Engineers, BSChE required with 5+ years relevant experience in refinery/petrochemical engineering, technical support and design of small projects and experience with unit startups and shutdowns as well as turnarounds. Individual must be able to direct and check the efforts of contract engineers, has some experience in process control (simulation software helpful) and ability to develop PFDs and P&IDs, evaluate HAZOP concerns and hydraulic systems.

Duties will include identify, define, and provide process design support for capital projects which include generating process designs for smaller projects and managing the process engineering activities at contract engineering firms. You must be able to develop project scopes, evaluate project economics, develop project justifications, and achieve consensus among the different customers such that these projects may be presented for funding approval.
