The Ideal Candidate:
Candidate must demonstrate broad knowledge in the areas of instrumentation and control, digital technologies, and information and communications technologies for operating and new power plants, the candidate must be aware of trends and emerging methodologiesCandidate must have proven technical and research skills and demonstrated interest in improving the current state of plants by improving reliability, availability and productivity; reducing operation and maintenance costs, and enhancing safetyCandidate must be able to demonstrate skills at consensus building to develop research project ideas involving a broad range of stakeholdersCandidate must possess skills at report writing and technical presentations such that the technical content is presented correctly and clearly understandably for the expected stakeholdersCandidate must have an interest in developing new ideas and new technological solutionsCandidate must be a team player willing to cooperate and coordinate with other technical staff
Education Level and Years of Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree required, higher degree preferred3+ years relevant industry experience desiredBackground in power generation (nuclear and non-nuclear) strongly desired, either in research or in a production facility EPRI’s Export Control Statement:
