Chevron Global Downstream Refining in Pascagoula,MS is currently searching for Fabrication, Instrument and Electrical, and Machinery Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspectors and Analysts to focus on developing detailed inspection test plans and conducting field/shop inspection activities. Responsibility of all positions within this group is to implement a strong quality program to ensure quality work results in the first attempt and to conduct all activities in a safe, professional manner. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:•Develop Quality Plans for Routine, Shutdown and Capital Project work. •Develop job specific verification sheets (Inspection Test Plans) and summary logs.•Ensure adequate written procedures are in place.•Execute accurate, detailed field and shop inspections.•Ensure all established hold points are met.•Ensure in-process inspections are done timely to support safe, aggressive schedules without short-cutting the process.•Conduct receipt inspections of materials, fabricated items, etc. as required to support Procurement.•Inspections will pertain to all types of petrochemical equipment including but not limited to piping, vessels, columns structural steel, pumps, compressors, control valves, electrical switch gear, transmitters and wiring. This will include new and existing equipment in both shop and field environments.•Provides detailed reports and ability to lead changes that will provide continued process improvement.•Develop metrics that validate performance.•Assist Execution in developing safe practical work plans that meet specification requirements.•Communicate and engage stakeholders to ensure strong respective adherence to critical variables. Required Qualifications:•High School Diploma is required.•Minimum of 2 years experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance roles or 5 years craft experience in Fabrication, Machinery, or Instrument/Electrical.Preferred Qualifications:•Fabrication Analysts/Inspectors: Certified Weld Inspector, API, ASME Boiler Code Inspector Certificates and/or similar training.•Instrument & Electrical Analysts/Inspectors: Instrument and electrical training including exposure using National Electric Code•Knowledge in Petrochemical, Nuclear, or other heavy industrial Quality Assurance or Quality Control Programs.Relocation Options:•Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.If you are selected for the position, Chevron employment will be contingent upon submission to and successful completion of a physical, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-MS-Pascagoula Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Installation/Maintenance/Repair
